First-Time Visitors
FAQs
What should I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit is designed to feel simple and unhurried. After check-in, you’ll have time to change, settle in, and begin your session at your own pace. There is no rush and no pressure to follow strict timings. Most guests start with heat, move into cold, and take breaks as needed.
Is contrast therapy intense for beginners?
It doesn’t have to be. Epic Reset offers different heat levels and two cold options, allowing you to ease in gradually. Many first-time guests choose gentler heat and the outdoor cold plunge rather than ice. You are always encouraged to listen to your body and stop if something feels uncomfortable.
How long should my first session be?
We recommend 60–75 minutes for your first visit. This gives you enough time to experience heat, cold, and rest without feeling overwhelmed. You can always stay shorter or longer depending on how you feel.
What if I’ve never done a cold plunge before?
That’s completely fine. The Outdoor Cold Plunge (15–17°C) is ideal for beginners and allows for slower, controlled entry. Calm breathing is more important than time. Even short exposure offers benefits.
Do I need to follow a strict sequence?
We recommend a simple flow:
Heat → Cold → Rest, repeated two to three times.
You don’t need to track minutes or push limits. Focus on steady breathing, how your body responds, and taking breaks between cycles.
What should I bring?
Just bring swimwear.
Towels are provided, and filtered alkaline drinking water is available throughout your visit. Lockers and changing facilities are available on site.
Should I eat before coming?
A light meal is recommended. Avoid heavy meals right before your session. Afterward, the Epic Reset Café offers electrolyte drinks and functional superfoods to support hydration and recovery.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Many guests visit solo and enjoy the quiet, grounding nature of the space. Epic Reset is designed to feel comfortable whether you come alone or with others.
Is it okay if I feel tired or emotional afterward?
Yes. It’s common to feel deeply relaxed, quiet, or reflective after contrast therapy—especially on your first visit. These responses are part of nervous system regulation and usually settle naturally with rest and hydration.
Can I combine my visit with yoga or wellness classes?
Yes. Epic Reset is anchored by OhanaJo Studio, offering yoga, meditation, breathwork, and sound healing. These sessions complement contrast therapy and can be booked separately based on availability.
Any advice for first-timers?
Go slower than you think you need to.
Focus on breathing, take breaks, hydrate well, and leave feeling steady—not depleted. Contrast therapy works best when approached with consistency rather than intensity.
